Important: By using Boardcast, you agree to these terms. Do not use Boardcast to share sensitive, confidential, personal, or illegal content. Session content is accessible to anyone with the session URL.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Boardcast, the real-time collaborative whiteboard and clipboard sharing service available at boardcast.app ("the Service"), operated by Boardcast ("we", "us", "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Boardcast is a browser-based tool that allows users to create temporary shared text sessions accessible via a unique URL. Content entered into a session is transmitted to all connected devices in real time and held temporarily in server memory. The Service requires no account registration and collects no personal identification information beyond standard web server logs.
You may use Boardcast for any lawful personal, professional, or commercial purpose. You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to suspend access to the Service for any user or IP address that we reasonably believe is in breach of these Terms.
You retain full ownership of any content you enter into a Boardcast session. By using the Service, you grant Boardcast a limited, temporary licence to transmit and hold that content in memory solely for the purpose of providing the real-time sync functionality.
Session content is stored in server memory only and is never written to a persistent database or disk. Content is automatically deleted when a session expires (after 2 hours of inactivity) or when the server restarts. We do not access, review, or analyse the content of your sessions.
You are solely responsible for any content you share via the Service. Because session URLs act as the only access control, any person with the URL can read and edit the session. Do not use Boardcast to share passwords, financial information, personal health data, confidential business information, or any other sensitive content.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Boardcast shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim arises and even if Boardcast has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Commercial use of the Service is permitted under these Terms. Teams and businesses may use Boardcast for internal collaboration, provided such use complies with all provisions of these Terms. There is no separate commercial licence required for the current version of the Service. We reserve the right to introduce commercial tiers or pricing in future versions.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at boardcast.app. We will aim to respond within a reasonable time.
